Mariah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who obtained her Master’s of Social Work in 2021 and Bachelor’s of Social Work in 2020, both from the University of Central Florida. Mariah has worked as a school social worker for 3 years, working with adolescents who struggle with social, emotional, and behavioral regulation. She specializes in depression, anxiety, stress management, anger management, substance use, life changes, and relationship/family conflicts. Some of her go-to approaches include Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Strengths Based Perspective, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions. She also has experience with crisis interventions and de-escalation techniques. While prioritizing empathy and collaboration with all her clients, Mariah emphasizes the importance of meeting each individual where they are at so they can feel comfortable as they overcome any challenges and begin to make changes within the therapeutic process. She is passionate about supporting adolescents and their families, and being a safe-space for her clients while assessing their needs and empowering them to reach their goals.
