Mariah Lowe
Masters Social Worker Intern
Mariah received her Masters of Social Work (MSW) in 2020, after receiving her Bachelors of Social Work (BSW) in 2019, from the University of Central Florida. She is now pursuing licensure to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Mariah has experience as an elementary school social worker, working with children who struggle with social emotional development such as emotional regulation, social skills, coping strategies, relationship conflicts, difficult life transitions, and grief. She uses a combination of approaches such as Solution-Focused, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths Based, and Art and Play Therapy. She creates a safe space that fosters trust and a positive therapeutic relationship, so the child can feel comfortable being who they are and sharing their challenges. Mariah is passionate about helping children work through challenges and she provides tools that can be utilized to better cope with future stressors. She helps the child identify their strengths and how to use those strengths to help them be successful. Mariah collaborates with the family to provide strategies to better help support the child at home. I look forward to working with you, to continue building connections and leave an unforgettable impact.
