Lauren Fernandez-Calienes

Lauren was born in Cuba and relocated to Miami, Florida, in 2012. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development from Florida International University in 2019 and went on to complete her Master’s degree in Special Educational Needs and Early Care from the International University of Valencia in 2022. In 2023, she achieved certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Her journey in the mental health field began shortly after earning her undergraduate degree when she became a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in 2019. Over the next four years, Lauren gained invaluable hands-on experience as an RBT before advancing to her current role as a BCBA.

As a dedicated BCBA, Lauren is passionate about empowering individuals to reach their fullest potential through the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). She specializes in developing evidence-based, individualized programs tailored to meet the unique needs of clients across various settings, including home, school, and community environments.

Lauren has extensive experience working with children and adults with developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Her expertise encompasses conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs), designing behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and training caregivers and staff to implement interventions effectively and with fidelity. She excels in areas such as skill acquisition, behavior reduction, staff supervision, and data-driven decision-making. Committed to fostering meaningful and lasting change, Lauren collaborates closely with families, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and impactful support for her clients.
